Saftladen behind the scenes - How are the bondage & BDSM toys made?

Creative Start: Ideation
(English version below)
First and foremost, the idea must be paramount. Without an idea, there's nothing to implement. Our Saftladen's own Kink Officer is responsible for this. He sits down and considers which toys he would like for his next session. Of course, anyone can submit their ideas.
Found an idea? Perfect! Then we sit down together and check if and how we can implement the ideas. This can take quite a while. We look at: How can we manufacture the toy? What materials are necessary? Does the toy perhaps already exist? How can we scale the sizes so that everyone benefits? And so on.
Quick side note: Currently, we do not manufacture anything that is intended to come into contact with mucous membranes in the mouth or intimate areas. We naturally work with food-safe materials. However, due to the 3D printing process, food safety cannot be guaranteed. Buuuut, we are also working on this and are planning a project to produce gags and similar items in the future.
The Blueprint: Construction
So we've come to the conclusion: our Kink Officer's idea is brilliant and feasible. Perfect!
Now it's time to construct the toy. This can also take a while because, let's be honest, the devil is in the details. Nothing is more frustrating than beautiful parts that tumble out of the 3D printer but cannot be assembled in the end due to design flaws. Therefore, we lock ourselves in our bat cave for three weeks and only come out when we are sure that the construction will work.
The First Attempt: Prototyping
From here on, the actual prototyping begins. The first toys, of course, always have a few quirks, problems, and ailments. That's inevitable. We test and have our prototypes tested, gather feedback, and further optimize the construction to keep the total number of prototypes as small as possible. This sometimes works well and sometimes less so. In addition, we learn something from every prototype and can avoid these mistakes with the next toy. Learning by dying, so to speak (or something like that). Only when we and our testers are satisfied with the results does the toy go on sale and is added to the product range.

Continuous Improvement: Post-Processing
Just because a product is sold doesn't mean it's 100% finished. In addition to new toys, we are constantly developing our entire product range. Our mittens from the last blog post are now in their 6th generation, and our breathplay collar will soon get a complete makeover and upgrades. So, stay tuned.

See you next week! Greetings, the produce from the Saftladen Headquarters.
